Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrive at Leh - local sightseeing
Arrival at Leh airport, to be received by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel for rest with welcome tea and coffee. Lunch at 2 PM. After lunch, visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 2: Leh - Alchi Likir - Leh
After breakfast, full day visit to Alchi and Likir monasteries. Alchi monastery is over 900 years old with ancient wall paintings. Likir monastery houses 120+ monks and runs a school. Visit ruins of Basgo Fort, confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers, Hall of Fame, Magnetic Field, and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Return to Leh for overnight stay.
Day 3: Leh - Pangong Lake excursion - Leh
After breakfast, full day excursion to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip, located on Indo-China border) via Chang La Pass (altitude 17,370 ft). Enjoy breathtaking views of the lake which is 4-5 kms wide and about 140 kms long, two-thirds lying across the border. Return to Leh in evening.
Day 4: Leh - Khardung-La - Leh
Morning drive to Khardung-La Pass (highest motorable pass at 18,380 ft, approx. 80 kms round trip). Enjoy spectacular views of Indus Valley and mountain ranges. Return to hotel for lunch. Afternoon free for souvenir shopping in local market. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Departure
Transfer to Leh Airport for onward flight with sweet memories of adventurous Ladakh.
